Character Routes

Hello travelers one and all! I've got a short update for you today. I've been writing HERO's script every day since the first of September. It's coming along swimmingly, thanks to all the time I invested in creating the materials up to this point. The outline and storyboard have been a great help in preventing any writers block thus far, and the 3D models have been immeasurably valuable. As this is all text, I don't have much to show for progress here, and I imagine official blogposts will be scant in 2018 as they have been in 2017. So far, five chapters have been written, and I'm currently working on the sixth. The plan is to have 01-09 written by the end of December. That accounts for the first half of Act 1, to the point where the seven branches diverge into character routes. Development will continue forward from there. I'm generally not one for paying much attention to word count, but I know it is a metric useful for understanding how long it will take to read. About 150,000 words have been written so far. Each chapter is between 20,000 and 30,000 words in length, combining all choices. There's one major choice in each chapter, along with a few minor ones.

I'm sorry this process has been so lengthy, and I hope you'll stick with me through to the end so that we can enjoy the finished story together!
